Elon won’t leave North Carolina for its first six football games of 2023 based on the schedule released this week.
The Phoenix will begin the season with a Thursday night (August 31) game at Wake Forest.
Elon will serve as the opponent for the first Colonial Athletic Association football games for new league members North Carolina A&T (which is competing in all sports in the CAA this school year except football) and Campbell.
Elon’s home opener is set for September 16 vs. N.C. A&T as part of Hall of Fame Weekend. The next week, the Phoenix goes to Campbell.
Home games for Elon include September 30 vs. William & Mary (for Family Weekend), October 7 vs. North Carolina Central, October 21 vs. Monmouth (for homecoming) and November 18 vs. Hampton.
