A local towing company had no trouble hauling in the approval of Burlington’s city council this week for a rezoning request that will allow it to expand its operations along Belmont Street.
The council ultimately gave a unanimous nod to this request on Tuesday, allowing Adams Rentals to add roughly a third of an acre to a “conditional” general business district that’s presently home to the company’s auto towing and storage facilities.
Amanda Hodierne, an attorney for the Burlington-based business, assured the council that her client’s proposal won’t lead to any radical changes in the towing company’s activities.
“This is really a cleanup,” she explained before the council’s decision. “It is about bringing the regulatory landscape up to match Mr. Adams’ expansion of his business.”
The council went on to vote 5-to-0 in favor of the request.
