Alamance-Burlington school board member Donna Westbrooks was presented Monday night with a plaque in appreciation of her four years of service on the board.
Westbrooks, who retired from ABSS in 2017 following a 32-year career as an educator and administrator, was elected to the school board in November 2020. She placed seventh among the eight candidates for four open seats on the school board in this year’s general election.
Outgoing school board member Ryan Bowden, also elected in November 2020, didn’t seek a second term on the school board this year. He was scheduled to be recognized for his service on the board but wasn’t present Monday night.
