Elon’s football team won’t leave the state next November based on the Coastal Athletic Association’s release of 2025 schedules.
There are several similarities and notable differences from this year’s Elon schedule.
There are no consecutive home games on the slate. During the past season, Elon had four straight home games.
Like this year, Elon begins the season at Duke and ends the schedule against North Carolina A&T (though that matchup will be at home in 2025).

Like the 2024 schedule, the Phoenix plays three in-state non-conference games, though Davidson replaces North Carolina Central in that lineup. Elon and Davidson will meet for the first time since the 2021 spring season.
All four 2025 non-league opponents had winning records this year.
Because the CAA’s membership will change with departures of Delaware and Richmond, there are schedule quirks. For instance, Elon will visit William & Mary for the second year in a row.
Elon won its final four games this year to finish with a 6-6 record, including 5-3 in the CAA. Against teams that are on its 2025 docket, the Phoenix went 4-4.
At least three Elon foes (Davidson, East Tennessee State, N.C. A&T) will have first-year coaches.
There are 12 games in 13 weeks. Elon’s off week comes on the first weekend of November.
