Firefighters put out a fire at a mobile home in Graham Thursday night; the sole occupant of the house sustained burns on their hands and face and was taken to UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill.
The fire department responded at 8:20 p.m. to multiple 911 calls from neighbors who saw the smoke billowing from the mobile home at 1023 Davis Lane in Graham.
In addition to firefighters from Graham, crews were dispatched from Haw River and Swepsonville, as well. Also on site were Alamance County EMS, Graham police, and Duke Energy, which responded to secure utilities at the location.
Within a half-hour, the fire was under control, according to the fire department, although crews remained on the scene until 10:03.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Graham Fire Department.
The condition of the mobile home’s occupant, who had been found outside the mobile home when first responders arrived, was unknown, according to a release from the fire department shortly after midnight.
