During the ceremonial transfer of power at Tuesday night’s Graham city council meeting, the council paid tribute to outgoing mayor Jennifer Talley, who lost her bid for reelection to Chelsea Dickey.
Council member Bonnie Whitaker led the three remaining council members, including Ricky Hall and Bobby Chin, in a recognition and thanks to Talley for her leadership during the past four years as mayor.
Talley was presented with a plaque and ceremonial gavel. Whitaker said another part of the send-off was delayed.
