Local inmate charged with multiple sex crimes

A man awaiting trial on drug charges has now been accused of a whole catalog of sex offenses by a multi-agency task-force that investigates crimes against children.

The Invictus Task Force formally filed these charges against Troy Lee Pore on Friday, mere days after it received a report on May 18 that he suggested he had been involved in the sexual exploitation of a minor.

The task force, which includes the sheriff’s offices in Alamance and three other counties, has gone on to charge the 33-year-old white male of 414 Greentree Drive, Hillsborough with 19 felonies, including eight counts of first-degree sexual exploitation, seven counts of indecent liberties, and four counts of disseminating indecent materials.

According to the office of Alamance County’s sheriff, Pore has been in jail since March 11, when he was booked without bond on a number of narcotics violations. The particulars of Pore’s alleged sex crimes aren’t currently available through North Carolina’s eCourts web portal.

Even so, court records hint that these alleged violations may have occurred while he was behind bars – with the offense dates on file ranging from May 1 through May 17 of this year.
