Duo booked after FLOC camera spots stolen car in Burlington

Two women from Greensboro have been arrested after they drove through the city of Burlington in a car that had been reported stolen from a Kentucky-based owner.

Gina Marie Upton and Olivia Faith Lunceford were taken into custody last Tuesday after the stolen car turned up on one of the FLOC cameras that Burlington’s police department uses to automatically read license plates of passing vehicles.

Olivia Faith LuncefordMembers of the city’s police force ultimately tracked the vehicle to the parking lot of a local Holiday Inn. They went on to identify the driver as Upton – a 40-year-old white female from 1517 New Garden Road in Greensboro; while the passenger turned out to be Lunceford – a 27-year-old white female from 501 Americhase Drive, Greensboro.

The police department has gone on to charge both women with a felony-level charge for possession of a stolen vehicle. Meanwhile, Upton faces two additional felonies for cocaine trafficking and possession of cocaine.

Both suspects have been placed under bonds of $40,000.
