Some in historic district left powerless by fallen tree which downed three utility poles

Scores of residents in and around Burlington’s historic district woke up without power on Tuesday after a storm-battered tree along Peele Street brought down three utility poles in the small hours.

According to Duke Energy, the 91 households hit by this outage can expect to have their electricity restored by 5:00 p.m.
