BREAKING THURS. A.M.: Burlington city council unanimous in approving three rezoning requests, rejecting a fourth

Burlington’s city council has rendered its final decisions on four rezoning requests that it had carried over from a regularly-scheduled meeting on Tuesday (March 16).

The council convened a special-called meeting at 9:15 a.m. Thursday morning for the sole purpose of holding votes on these matters in order to give area residents an additional 24 hours to submit feedback following the public hearings on the aforementioned requests. The council provided this extended comment period under a state law that has allowed them to hold meetings remotely during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

The council unanimously rejected a request from J.
