Here’s a look at the slate of area games:

Southeast Alamance at Eastern Alamance

Southeast (9-0 overall, 5-0 Mid-Carolina Conference) tries to complete its second undefeated regular season in three years. That 2024 accomplishment included a 21-19 victory at Eastern, but that came in August of that season and it stood as the only single-digit result for the Stallions that season.

Eastern (6-2, 4-1), which is on a three-game winning streak, was off last week. The Eagles are bidding for their first conference title since 2022.

“Sometimes you get what you wish for,” Eastern coach John Kirby said of a meaningful finale, “and oh my goodness.”

Southeast has scored a league-high 247 points in conference games. Eastern has allowed a league-low 84 points.

The Eagles have loads of offense, with Sammy Raphael at 1,468 rushing yards, Devontia Clark with 451 receiving yards, and Hunter Eichmann with seven touchdown receptions. Braxton Ballard has thrown for 12 touchdowns with one interception.

“I like the opportunity,” Kirby said. “Our kids are getting confidence that we can play.”

Southeast quarterback Tyler Jackson has thrown for 35 touchdowns, with 11 of those to tight end Drew Easter.

Southern Alamance at Western Alamance

Southern (7-2, 3-2) has won the last five meetings with the Warriors (5-4, 2-3).

Southern running back Sincere Thompson has eclipsed the 2,000-yard mark for rushing this year with 2,033.

Western defensive tackle Carson White made two sacks last week vs. Williams, but he might not have many opportunities for those if Southern sticks to its run-heavy approach.

Roxboro Person at Williams

With a victory, Williams (5-2, 3-2) has a chance to share second place in the league depending on other results.

The Bulldogs have had at least six regular-season victories in each of the past five years.

Roxboro Person (2-7, 1-4) has lost the past five seasons to Williams, giving up more than 50 points in each of the last four years.

Hibriten at Cummings

This game was added after West Caldwell and Graham dropped their varsity teams this year, leaving vacancies on schedules for Hibriten and Cummings, respectively.

Cummings (1-8) finished in last place in the Mid-Carolina Conference.

Hibriten (9-0), champion of the Western Piedmont Conference, has posted shutouts in two of the last three weeks.
