A day – and date – to remember: baby born 2/22/22 at 2:22 a.m.

It probably won’t be difficult for Judah Grace Spear or her parents to remember her birth date.

Burlington parents Hank and Aberli Spear welcomed their firstborn at 2:22 a.m. Tuesday morning, which just happened to be 2-22-22. And just to round out the 2’s, the baby girl was born in delivery room No. 2 at Alamance Regional Medical Center.

Newborn baby Judah’s mom, Aberli, is a survivor of Hodgkin’s lymphoma. While cancer treatments saved her life, they also made a successful pregnancy unlikely.

After a long journey, the Spears received a priceless reward for their faith, patience and perseverance on this special Tuesday. And they chose to show their gratitude through the name of their new child.

“We chose the name Judah because it means ‘praise’ in Hebrew,” Mom says. “She’s our miracle baby.”

Alamance Regional Medical Center is a part of Cone Health, whose 13,000 employees provide health care to people of Guilford, Rockingham, Forsyth, Caswell and Randolph counties, in addition to Alamance.
