BREAKING TUES. AFTERNOON: ABSS school board lifts mask mandate.

By a 6-1 vote, with only Patsy Simpson opposed, Alamance-Burlington school board members voted Tuesday afternoon to lift the mask mandate in the county’s public schools.

The change is to be immediate.  The new policy affects all ABSS facilities, but does not apply to school buses, where national rules from the CDC still require face coverings.

More details to follow.
