Alamance-Burlington 2020 Teacher of the Year Kelly Poquette has been named the Piedmont-Triad regional Teacher of the Year.
Poquette, who teaches music at E.M. Yoder Elementary School, is a 16-year veteran teacher. She is pictured with her husband, Jonathan Poquette, who is the director of bands and a music lecturer at Elon University.
Poquette will now enter the statewide competition for North Carolina’s Teacher of the Year, which will be selected next spring.
