North Carolina’s statewide primary is on Tuesday, May 17, 2022. Voting hours are 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Voters affiliated with any political party will be given a ballot of candidates for their party, either the Democratic Party or the Republican Party.
Unaffiliated voters may choose the ballot of candidates for either party primary. However, they may not “pick and choose” back and forth between the parties. They must select EITHER the Democratic ballot OR the Republican ballot.
