A Greensboro resident has been arrested after he allegedly provided an area resident with a lethal combination of heroin and fentanyl last fall.
According to the office of Alamance County’s sheriff, Nicholas James Blackwell has been charged with one count of death by distribution for his alleged role in the fatal overdose, which was reported to the authorities on October 6.

A 27-year-old black male of 1611 Woodbriar Road in Greensboro, Blackwell is also accused of the sale or delivery of a Schedule I controlled substance. He has been placed under a $250,000 bond since his arrest.
