The City of Burlington will host the 77th annual Burlington Christmas Parade on Saturday, November 23, beginning at 10:00 a.m. in downtown Burlington.
The parade features community businesses, organizations, dance groups, school marching bands, and festive floats that will make their way through the streets of Downtown Burlington and then continue down Main Street towards Burlington City Park.
Each year, the City accepts nominations for The Grand Marshal of the Burlington Christmas Parade. This year’s Grand Marshal is Aaron Patterson. Mr. Patterson was nominated for “his commitment, kindness, and selflessness.” As the 2024 Grand Marshal, Mr. Patterson will lead the parade in a horse-drawn carriage followed by his ABSS coworkers and the AO Fire Department.
Many streets in downtown Burlington will be closed on Saturday, November 23, beginning at 6:00 a.m. Lot #1 off of Webb Avenue is the staging area for the parade and will also be closed. All vehicles should be moved from the Lot #1 before Saturday morning (11/23) or they will be towed by the Burlington Police Department. Parking will be available in City Lots #2,3,4, 5, and 8.
