Officers found 21-year-old Nykeim Zantwan Thompson of Mebane dead from an apparent gunshot wound inside an apartment.

On Friday, just before midnight, police responded to the 800 block of North Anthony Street where they found 29-year-old Rashawn Lamar Alston lying in the middle of the road, the apparent victim of a hit and run.  He later died on the way to the hospital.
