Burlington primary voting ends at 7:30 p.m.

Ken Smith checks in with a poll worker at First Presbyterian Church on West Davis Street before casting a ballot in Tuesday’s primary for Burlington’s city council.

Voters who take part in this preliminary round of voting will effectively select four finalists from an eight-person field to compete in next month’s general election, where two of the council’s regular seats will be up for grabs.

Voting continues at Burlington precincts until 7:30 p.m.

[Editor’s Note: check back later for final primary election results.]
