Burlington woman arrested for 2nd degree murder after early morning shooting outside convenience store

A woman from Burlington has been charged with second-degree murder after she allegedly gunned down a 26-year-old man outside an area business earlier this week.

Shanice Michelle Clark, a 27-year-old black female of 1110 Holly Street, Apartment F, was taken into custody shortly after the shooting death of Samir Terry on Monday.

According to Burlington’s police department, Terry was gunned down outside of Cruizers at 728 North Church Street at about 4:30 a.m. Terry was reportedly pronounced dead at the scene after paramedics and firefighters were unable to resuscitate him after the shooting.

Clark, who currently faces one count of second-degree murder, has been placed under a bond of $250,000.
