Elmo Hatley, a Burlington man who played rounds of golf regularly after turning 100 years old, died last week at age 103.
Hatley was featured in a The Alamance News article last spring. He played nine-hole rounds once or twice a week with sons Frank Hatley and Thomas Hatley at area courses.

His survivors also include son Billy Hatley. He was predeceased by wife Rose Marie Cambria Hatley.
Hatley served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War III and was former owner of Hatley Music.
A memorial service was held Monday at Rich & Thompson with burial scheduled for Pine Hill Cemetery in Burlington.
