A man from Chapel Hill who was nabbed in an anti-prostitution sting last summer has been arrested again for allegedly propositioning an undercover officer in Alamance County.
According to the office of Alamance County’s sheriff, Jason Peter Fine solicited the undercover officer during a multi-agency operation that took place in December. The sheriff’s office reportedly identified the would-be “john” as Fine thanks to phone records that it had obtained in August when it arrested the 50-year-old white male in a similar sting dubbed “Operation Summer Special.”
According to the sheriff’s office, Fine found himself back in police custody on Tuesday after a raid on his home at 1606 Claymore Road in Chapel Hill provided the “probable cause for an arrest.” This raid reportedly involved deputies from Alamance County, state and federal agents, and members of Carrboro’s police force. Fine currently faces a felony charge for allegedly soliciting prostitution as a second offence. He has been placed under a $2,500 bond since his arrest.
