The Turrentine Middle School Trojans won the 26th annual D.A.R.E. Middle School Basketball Classic championship, capturing their seventh straight title by defeating the Hawfields Middle School Huskies 28-25 in overtime in last month’s title game in Graham.
Meanwhile, among girls’ teams, the Woodlawn Middle School Eagles won the 26th annual D.A.R.E. Middle School Basketball Classic championship, repeating as champion by defeating the Hawfields Huskies 44-32 in last month’s title game in Graham.
