The Class 3-A East Region final for girls’ soccer between top-seeded Eastern Alamance and second-seeded Jacksonville will be back at its original site after all.
Information coming from Eastern Alamance late Tuesday morning announced that Tuesday night’s game will be held on campus at the high school in Mebane.
Less than a day earlier, a move to city-operated Mebane Community Park had been announced because of concerns about field conditions at the high school stadium – especially if there was more rain. Mebane Community Park field has artificial turf.
Eastern Alamance (18-0-1) is attempting to make the state final for the second year in a row. Jacksonville (24-0) was eliminated last year in a 2-0 third-round loss to the Eagles.
The game begins at 6:00 p.m.
The East Region winner will play either Friday or Saturday in the state championship game.
