Elon residents to see road closures for August paving projects

Categories:

Elon residents can expect various road closures in August as the town repairs seven streets.

Paving is set to begin on Monday on West Trollinger and West Lebanon avenues between Williamson Avenue and Holt Street. During that time, town staff said, residential streets will remain open to local traffic and traffic controls will be instituted.

Following the work on West Trollinger and West Lebanon, contractor Sharpe Brothers will pave Franz Court, Longbrook Drive, and Running Brook Drive. Patchwork will be completed on Pin Oak Court and Atkinson Avenue, and the town will revisit the latter in September to address subgrade and asphalt issues.

While roadwork is underway, town staff asks that residents avoid parking on the street while the contractor is actively working nearby.
