The Alamance County sheriff’s office has announced that a week ago, on January 11, they arrested an Elon man who, within another suspect, had been suspected of breaking and entering a motor vehicle along Bass Mountain Road in Snow Camp.

Deputies interviewed two suspects at the scene, who claimed they were trying to replace a flat tire.  One suspect – Jeffrey Andrew Spears, 44, white, male, 226 Foster Drive, Apt. 3, Elon – admitted that he had gone through a vehicle that was parked in the driveway of the residence.

Meanwhile, Spears was found to have in his possession a small baggie containing a white crystalized substance.
