Kylon Richardson’s two interceptions for Western Alamance halted Eastern Alamance drives to help the visiting Warriors in a 17-14 victory in Mid-Carolina Conference football Friday night in Mebane.
Eastern reached scoring position in both cases before Richardson’s pickoffs.
Western (6-1 overall, 4-0 Mid-Carolina Conference) never trailed in winning its sixth game in a row.
Ethan Oakley threw for a touchdown and Jordan Hall rushed for 93 yards on 20 carries.
Eastern (3-4, 2-2) fell to 1-3 in home games. The Eagles’ final possession ended on downs with less than a minute to play.

Western built a 17-7 lead on Esaiah Slade’s 1-yard run before the midway mark of the third quarter.
Eastern closed the gap on Jamez Cochran’s 4-yard touchdown run with less than three minutes remaining in the game.
Western went up in the first quarter on Oakley’s 15-yard pass to Colton Hill.
The Eagles got even when Daylin Ford blocked a Western punt and returned it for a touchdown.
The Warriors held a 10-7 halftime edge courtesy of Camden Oliveira’s 36-yard field goal.
Southern Alamance 76, Graham 0: At Mt. Hermon, the Patriots scored twice before taking a snap in the homecoming victory.
The first points came on Jace Rich’s 24-yard interception return and the next touchdown came when Garrett Ledbetter recovered a blocked punt in the end zone.
Jvan Hamby scored on a 15-yard run and on a 29-yard reception on a pass from Tustin Johnson. Jacob Alexander scored on his only two carries – 23 and 72 yards – and Sincere Thompson had scoring runs of 20 and 9 yards.
Other scoring runs came from Abel Catlett (8 yards), Logan Williams (17 yards) and Nathan McNeal (25 yards).
Southern (4-3, 3-1) led 62-0 at halftime. Graham (0-7, 0-4) has lost its last nine meetings with the Patriots.
Roxboro Person 40, Cummings 28: At Burlington, Cummings (2-5, 0-4) has its first three-game losing streak since 2019 after losing the home game.
Roxboro Person (4-3, 2-2) has won two in a row.
There was a significant postgame police presence at Cummings stemming from an incident regarding the game, though further details so far have been unavailable.
