City of Burlington will host July 3rd in the Park Celebration, Fireworks
The City of Burlington invites the community to celebrate Burlington’s largest Independence Day celebration at the annual July 3rd in the Park event on Friday, July 3, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Burlington City Park, 1388 South Main Street in Burlington. The evening will be filled with live entertainment, amusement rides, delicious food, family-friendly activities, and Burlington’s largest fireworks spectacular display in the event’s history.
- The celebration kicks off at 5:00 p.m. on the Main Stage with a performance by Thistle Ridge, followed by Part Time Party Time Band.
- As part of the City’s USA 250 celebration commemorating America’s upcoming 250thanniversary, attendees can enjoy a special Parachute Demonstration by the All-Veteran Group at 6:15 p.m. over Ballfield #1.
- The Company Shops Concert Band will take the stage at 9:00 p.m. with a patriotic performance before Burlington’s largest fireworks spectacular in the event’s history lights up the sky at 9:20 p.m. The fireworks are best viewed from the hill beside Ballfield #1.
Families can enjoy a blend of free and ticketed activities. Free entertainment will include the Park & Play Van, cornhole, giant bubbles, Connect 4, and more. For just $5, kids can enjoy unlimited access to a variety of attractions including an obstacle course, climbing wall, warp wall, giant slide, and inflatables. Wristbands will be available for purchase on-site. Amusement rides will open at 5:00 p.m. and include classic favorites such as the iconic Dentzel Carousel, the miniature train, tiny cars, planes, and the boat ride. Food vendors will include Copperhead Burgers, Baconessence, Pita Delite, Zack’s Hot Dogs, Queso Monster, Dickie-Do’s BBQ, DrizzleD’s Mini Donuts, Sunset Slush, Pelican’s SnoBalls, Tropical Delights, The Chill Shak and Kona Ice.

Mebane Museum America 250 parade, celebration
Mebane Historical Museum will host the Fourth of July Parade again this year with a host of old favorites attractions and one or two surprises to celebrate America’s 250. Grab your fife and drum, get your red, white and blue on and come to 209 W. Jackson Street the morning of the Fourth. Parking is at the Mebane Presbyterian Church on Fifth Street and the First Baptist Church on Third Street. The six-block parade itself begins promptly at 10:30 a.m. Registration for those who wish to march in the non-motorized parade begins at 9:00 a.m., as do free activities, games, Meet your elected officials, the 50-piece Village Band, roving revolutionary war characters, Brigadier Alexander General Mebane, Jr., Betsy Ross, Uncle Sam, fun photo backdrops, the Mebane Public Library giving out free books, flash live actor Declaration of Independence reading, MFD trucks, and much, much more. Mebane Recreation July 4th Celebration
Mebane Recreation will sponsor Mebane’s 250th July 4th Celebration at the Mebane Arts and Community Center, 633 Corregidor Street in Mebane on Saturday, July 4, 5:30-10:00 p.m. Enjoy an afternoon packed with food trucks, live music, inflatables, eating competitions, games, and plenty of familyfriendly fun. The night will end with an unforgettable fireworks show you won’t want to miss. Bring your family and enjoy the following schedule of events: • 4:30 p.m., parking opens; • 5:00 p.m. free Trolley Shuttle service begins; • 5:30 p.m., Backyard Games – Bottle Bash, Connect Four, Corn Hole, Four-Person Volleyball, Giant Jenga, Kan Jam, Spike Ball, Ladder Golf and more, Carnival/Kid Zone Area Including Performances and Roaming Entertainment with Gravity Check Juggling, Upside Aerial & Arts, and Zia Bubble Show. • Food trucks and food vendors will include Baconessence, Boardwalk Baker, Smash Ahh Burger, 3 Boys, Carolina Sugar Clouds, and more; • Inflatables; • Photo Opportunities; • 6:30 p.m., Live music with Part Time Party Time Band with Giveaways during Intermission; and • at dark around 9:15 p.m., Fireworks start! Burlington Athletic Stadium July 4 events, fireworks
Burlington Athletic Stadium will host a Sock Puppets Game at the stadium, 1450 Graham Street. The Burlington Sock Puppets will host an America 250-themed baseball game on July 4, beginning at 7:00 p.m. The evening will include historic re-enactors followed immediately by a massive post-game fireworks show.
