Williams rolled up a 37-20 victory at Southern Alamance on Friday night, avenging a loss from last season.
The Bulldogs (2-1) prevailed in their road opener. They’ve won two of their first three games for the first time since 2019.
Southern Alamance (1-2) lost for the second week in a row.
Eastern Alamance 41, Northern Guilford 35: At Greensboro, the Eagles went on the road for the first time and remained undefeated, topping a Class 4-A school for the second week in a row as Tyrek Samuel scored three rushing touchdowns.

Josh Murray ran for two touchdowns and quarterback Jason Ball scored on a keeper.
Eastern Alamance, which built a 28-7 lead early in the third quarter, is 3-0 for the eighth time in the last nine seasons. Northern Guilford fell to 2-1.
Western Alamance 28, Eastern Guilford 26: At Elon, a pass on Eastern Guilford’s attempt at a tying two-point conversion was broken up as the host Warriors prevailed in the non-league game.
Western (2-1) wiped out a 20-7 halftime deficit. The Warriors went up 28-20, but had to hold on after Eastern Guilford converted on a fourth down and then scored a touchdown with 56.9 seconds left.
After the failed conversion, Eastern Guilford’s onside kick went out of bounds and the Warriors didn’t give the ball back.
This was the first meeting between the neighboring schools since Eastern Guilford won in 2016. Before that, Western Alamance won eight straight in the series in games played from 2004-15.
Cummings 43, Orange 14: At Hillsborough, Jonathan Paylor scored on two touchdown catches as the visiting Cavaliers cruised.

The score was tied 7-7 in the second quarter before Marioné Enoch ran for two touchdowns.
Paylor had touchdown catches of 39 and 85 yards. His other catch lost yards, so he ended up with three receptions for 119 yards.
Cummings (2-1) posted 31 points in the second quarter. There was no scoring in the fourth quarter. Orange is 0-3.
Bishop McGuinness 25, Graham 12: At Kernersville, Graham fell to 0-3 with the non-league road loss.
Jamison Graves ran for three touchdowns and threw for another for the Villains (1-2).
Bartlett Yancey 56, Cedar Ridge 0: At Yanceyville, the host Buccaneers improved to 2-1.
Cedar Ridge dipped to 1-2.
