The Passion Fusion Grille, at 20 SW Court Square in downtown Graham, was destroyed by an early morning fire on Friday.
An alarm at 2:08 a.m. alerted first responders to the fire. Graham police were first to arrive, identified a fire as the cause for the alarm, and had the fire department dispatched.
In addition to Graham, fire departments from Burlington, Haw River, Swepsonville, Faucette, and E.M. Holt also responded.
According to the Graham Fire Department, the fire was successfully brought under control within 24 minutes of the fire department’s arrival, with all units clearing the scene by 4:58 am.
No individuals were present inside the business during the incident, and there were no reported injuries of civilians or firefighters.
The kitchen of the restaurant itself was largely gutted, while law offices on the second floor and an adjoining business received smoke damage from the fire.
There was minimal damage to the exterior of the building, but damages to the structure and contents are estimated at $200,000, according to the fire department.
The fire is currently under investigation by the Graham Fire Department and Alamance County Fire Marshal’s Office.
