Burlington’s city clerk Beverly Smith administers the oath of office to newly-installed city manager Craig Honeycutt on Tuesday.
Honeycutt, who was accompanied by his wife Amber during this ceremony, had previously held the manager’s posts in both Alamance and Wayne counties before he was tapped for a vacant assistant manager’s slot in Burlington earlier this summer.

With his subsequent elevation to city manager, Honeycutt has taken over a role that has been occupied by Mebane’s retired manager David Cheek on an interim basis.
