How high and wide will Democratic tide reach?

Categories:

The 2026 Democratic blue tide across the nation and state includes many races in Alamance County.

With two-thirds (28 out of 39 precincts) of all Alamance County precincts and early voting results in, Democrats are ahead in most local races – for sheriff, district attorney, all three county commissioner seats, both state house seats (although one, Democrat Ian Baltutis vs. Ryan Moffit, by less than two dozen votes), and for the top three (ostensibly nonpartisan) school board seats.

Only state senator Amy Galey, whose senatorial district also includes part of Randolph County, is ahead of her Democratic challenger.
