An unidentified 50-year-old woman was picked up at the County Ford dealership at 105 Auto Park Drive in Graham and transported to the hospital Wednesday afternoon after she held a gun to her head and threatened to harm herself.

The woman, who Graham police department public information officer Captain Tony Velez didn’t identify, had reportedly previously threatened employees at the Ford dealership on Auto Park Drive.

Graham police officers responded to the scene at 2:42 p.m. Wednesday afternoon and found the woman in a vehicle, holding the gun to her head, Velez said in a news release.  Officers believe the woman to have been impaired at the time of the incident.

Graham police eventually convinced the woman to put the handgun down, and she was transported to an area hospital for an evaluation.
