Western Alamance alum Joshua Karty connected on his first pressure kick in the NFL and it gave the Los Angeles Rams a victory.
Karty’s 37-yard field goal with two seconds remaining lifted the Rams past the visiting San Francisco 49ers 27-24 on Sunday.

The Rams (1-2) scored the game’s final 13 points – seven of those from Karty – as they rallied in their home opener.
Karty, a rookie out of Stanford, had a 33-yard field goal with 6:15 remaining as Los Angeles closed within 24-17.
Karty is 5-for-5 on field goals this season, including his longest attempt of 41 yards in the opener at Detroit. That came on the first attempt of his pro career. He’s 6-for-6 on extra points this season.
