A moped driver was seriously injured Tuesday morning in Graham after a crash with a car.
The moped driver was taken by life flight to UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill, where he remains in stable condition, according to police.
Graham police and firefighters responded to the crash along East Harden Street at Pravas Lane (near I-85/40) at about 10:43 a.m. (Pravas Lane is the entrance into the former Embers hotel and restaurant that burned in December of last year.)
Both vehicles were traveling southeast east on NC 54 (East Harden Street) when they collided.
According to Graham police, the crash is still being investigated; impairment is not suspected, according to police, as a contributing factor in the collision.
The moped driver was reportedly in stable condition, at the time of an afternoon news release from the Graham Police Department.
Police did not identify the names of either driver.
