New supt. sworn in; starts job Friday

The new Alamance-Burlington superintendent, Dr. Dain Butler, was sworn into office Monday night, in advance of his July 1 start date.

Several dozen Alamance County residents and ABSS employees were present for the swearing-in ceremony in the auditorium at the school system’s Central Office in Burlington.

Butler is scheduled to take over as the seventh superintendent of ABSS tomorrow.

Incoming ABSS superintendent Dr. Dain Butler, a Southern High School graduate and former ABSS administrator, was joined by his parents and fiancé, as well as several aunts, uncles,and cousins for his swearing-in ceremony at the school system’s Central Office Monday night.
