Police in Burlington are looking for a man who smashed his way into a local retail establishment in the small hours of the morning on Friday.
According to the city’s police department, the suspect in this case broke into High Life, a business at 2485 Corporation Parkway, shortly before 12:11 a.m. An automatic burglar alarm soon brought a detachment of the city’s police officers, who noticed a smashed door but no one still in the building.
According to the police department, the owner of the business later confirmed the theft of some merchandise.
In the meantime, investigators were able to obtain security footage that appeared to show the culprit to be a black male clad in an all-black ensemble of jacket, trousers, and face mask. The suspect’s feet were also shod in black slides with the letters “CK” prominently displayed on them while he reportedly carried a black shoulder bag with a reflective stripe.
Investigators believe that the suspect ran south toward Plantation Drive after the break-in.
