Police seek suspects in early Thursday morning holdup

Police in Burlington are looking for three men who reportedly robbed two individuals at gunpoint in the small hours of the morning on Thursday.

The victims in this case had reportedly ensconced themselves in a parking lot near the juncture of Maple Avenue and Tucker Street when they were approached by a trio of black males shortly before 2:16 a.m.   According to Burlington’s police department, two of the three suspects threatened the victims with handguns before making off with some personal items, electronics, and a small quantity of cash. The victims proceeded to flag down some police officers after the robbery.

The victims have described the perpetrators as black males who appeared to be roughly 50, 35, and 25 years old, respectively. The eldest of the three reportedly sported short hair and a black jacket; the youngest, a black hoodie and shoulder-length dread locks. The one in his mid-thirties appeared to stand 6-feet-3 inches tall and had a “heavy set face.” Both he and his younger compatriot reportedly displayed handguns.
