A tractor trailer owned by AAA Cooper Transportation collided with a power line along N.C. Highway 119, near the Honda Power Equipment plant and Southeast High School, knocking out power, internet and some communication services in the Swepsonville community Monday morning.
An estimated time for power restoration is 8:00 p.m. Monday, according to Duke Energy, which reported that 668 customers are affected.
Meanwhile, the city of Mebane put out an announcement Monday afternoon about a citywide network outage for the following providers: Brightspeed (Century Link), Spectrum, and Verizon.
Currently, there is no set time frame for the restoration of services, city officials said at the time. (As of 8:30 p.m. Monday night there did not appear to be any restoration of service.)
If citizens have any additional questions or concerns, city officials recommend they contact their provider directly.
