Primary Day Voting underway; polls close at 7:30 p.m.

This historic Burlington church was one 39 polling sites across Alamance County that were mobilized for Tuesday’s partisan primaries.

In addition to some closely-watched national and statewide contests, this year’s primaries include a six-way race among the Republicans vying for three seats on the the county’s board of commissioners as well a duel between two Democratic contenders for the state senate seat that represents Alamance County.

Polls will remain open until 7:30 p.m.
