Two separate shooting incidents on Saturday early morning and late afternoon have resulted in three people injured and two arrested.
The first incident occurred at approximately 12:30 a.m. in the 100 block of Lundsford Drive. Burlington police officers found two victims with gunshot wounds at the scene. The victims were transported to a local hospital, and their injuries do not appear to be life-threatening at this time.
Subsequently arrested was Kevon Shawn Dark, black, male, 33, of Burlington; he has been arrested and charged with two counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury. Dark is being held at the Alamance County jail with no bond.
The second incident occurred at about 4:15 p.m. when Burlington police officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 1300 block of Hilldale Drive.
Responding officers determined that the incident was isolated. The victim was transported to a local hospital and is currently in stable condition.
Arrested in connection with the shooting was Chace Harold Loney, white, male, 47, of Burlington. He is charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury. He is being held at the Alamance County jail without bond.
