Burlington’s My Select Bank, at 166 Huffman Mill Road, was subject to an armed robbery that included a bomb threat Monday morning.

A male suspect entered the bank and demanded money from a bank teller. There were no visible weapons, but the suspect communicated that he was leaving a bomb in a bag.
Burlington police responded around 10:40 a.m., evacuated all bank personnel, and requested that the Greensboro Police Department’s Bomb Squad respond to clear the building.
The bank was cordoned off for most of the afternoon hours.
No employees or residents were harmed during the robbery.
Burlington police have the situation under investigation and indicated that suspect information will be forthcoming; as of 6:30 p.m., however, none had been issued.
