Undefeated Southeast Alamance scored in a variety of ways in Friday night’s 51-14 road victory against Roxboro Person.
It was a non-conference game between two members of the Mid-Carolina Conference.
Southeast (6-0) has scored more than 40 points in every game. The Stallions will return to Roxboro on October 23 for a conference encounter.
Roxboro Person (1-5) has a four-game losing streak.

- Greenville Conley 42, Western Alamance 21: At Elon, the visiting Vikings benefitted from Western’s turnovers and pulled away for the non-conference victory.
Greenville Conley’s Trey Villasenor kicked a 32-yard field goal to extend the team’s lead to 20-14 in the third quarter.
On Western’s next snap, a fumble was recovered in the end zone for a touchdown by the Vikings’ Kalijah Booth and the margin grew with a two-point conversion.
Greenville Conley (4-1) got the ball back on an interception. Shortly after, Colten Hill’s fumble recovery in the end zone for a touchback gave Western the ball again.
The Warriors came up big on defense again when Matthias Satterfield’s hit caused a fumble and teammate Carson White recovered it on the final play of the third quarter. Western drove for a touchdown with Grayson Smith scoring on a 2-yard quarterback scramble.
It took the Vikings just two plays to cover 65 yards on the ensuing possession, with Jack Hager throwing to Varries Basnight for a 24-yard touchdown play as the lead went to 35-21. Hager later ran in from 5 yards out for the final touchdown.
“Not being able to get off the field hurt us,” Western coach Drew Hambright said of some challenges on defense. “We played tough, so that was good.”
Earlier, the Warriors (4-1) fell into a 10-0 first-quarter hole, with Greenville Conley’s first touchdown on a gadget play after taking over at the Western 21-yard line following a Warriors fumble. The Vikings converted on fourth downs on two early possessions.
Then Western scored on Chance Johnson’s 2-yard run after Smith’s 24-yard hook-up with Hill. The Warriors kept momentum when Marqua Sims blocked a punt, but they didn’t convert on the next possession.
It was a blow for Western when Hager, under heavy pressure, threw 21 yards to Andy Thomas, who made an acrobatic catch in the end zone with 16 seconds left in the first half. The score was 17-7 at the break.
“We talked at halftime about coming out and we went down and scored,” Hambright said.
Western marched for a touchdown on the first possession of the second half, with Christian Payton scoring on an 8-yard run.
Smith finished 5-for-15 for 111 yards in the air.
It marked the season debut for former Western quarterback Ethan Oakley, a two-year starter who underwent Tommy John surgery in the spring following a baseball injury. He played as a receiver.

Cummings (1-4), Eastern Alamance (3-2), Southern Alamance (4-1), and Williams (3-0) were all off this week.
