Task force arrests area man for child porn downloads

A multicounty task force that pursues online crimes against children has arrested a man from Green Level for allegedly downloading a cache of child pornography.

The office of Alamance County’s sheriff took Raymond Peter Grzyb into custody on Tuesday following an inquiry by the Invictus Task Force.

A partnership between the sheriff’s offices in Alamance and three other counties, Invictus has secured several arrests in recent months based on tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The center’s intelligence in this case has led to the discovery of illicit downloads that Grzyb allegedly made in March of this year.

An arrest warrant filed on Tuesday indicates that the 44-year-old white male had duplicated two digital images and three video clips of prepubescent girls in provocative poses.

The sheriff’s office has consequently posted five felony charges for the second-degree exploitation of a minor against this resident of 2331 James Boswell Road, Burlington – an address that’s situated within Green Level’s municipal limits.

Court records indicate that Grzyb was released from jail Wednesday after posting a $375,000 secured bond.
