Three centenarians celebrated at Burlington’s First Christian Church of Christ

First Christian Church of Christ in Burlington is claiming to have the oldest congregation in Burlington.

This month the church is celebrating three members who are a century or older.

Those women are Faye Strickland at age 100, Iris Workman at age 100, and Mary Menefee at age 103.

Two special celebrations are planned for this month: a birthday party was held after worship on Sunday, May 3, for Iris Workman where over 100 guests were expected to attend.

Faye Strickland will be celebrated after worship on Sunday, May 31.
