Trailhead Church to hold grand opening in restored Graham textile mill on Sunday

Trailhead Church will host the grand opening of its’ new church facility at 615 West Harden Street in Graham next Sunday, June 6, at 11:00 a.m.

The grand opening event is open to the public and will feature live music, a worship service, free catering from Steve’s Smokehouse, and guided tours of the facility. Bounce houses and free Italian ice from Sunset Slush will also be available for children.

The facility, a former textile mill, opened in the early 20th century, but had not been in operation since 2002. The church purchased the property in May 2018 and began the process of restoring and renovating the historic site with the help of Rehab Builders, Inc., the general contractors responsible for the restoration of nearby Oneida Mills in Graham and White Furniture Company in Mebane. Thousands of volunteer hours from both church and community members were also donated.

The site has been fully up-fitted for modern use with careful attention paid to maintaining the historic nature of the building, including restoring the original flooring and re-using original materials for decoration and structural renovation throughout the facility.
