Volunteers from both the Democratic and the Republican parties were out in full force on Tuesday as voters trickled into the Graham Rec Center to take part in this year’s general election.

Also on hand to greet voters were delegates from Blueprint North Carolina, a left-leaning coalition that distributed free food from under a pair of event tents on the rec center’s grounds.
The flurry of electoral activity was much sparser at the First Presbyterian Church on West Davis Street, where Burlington residents Marcy and Rob Lazzari cast their ballots that same afternoon.
