Western Alamance’s boys’ soccer team won three times in a six-night stretch in the Mid-Carolina Conference.
That stretch began with last week’s 8-1 home triumph vs. Eastern Alamance as Grant Bacchus notched three goals, Jessy Perez had two and Edwin Anguiano, Elio Anguiano and Lincoln Ramsey all scored once. Kaden Oliver had Eastern’s goal.
Bacchus scored four goals when Western won 7-2 at Southeast Alamance in Friday night’s make-up game. Edwin Anguiano had two goals and Elio Anguiano had one. Zwe Maung and Ethan Martinez each had a goal for Southeast.
Western blew out visiting Cummings 9-0 on Monday, led by Perez’s four goals.
- Williams won 6-0 last Thursday at Southern Alamance with two goals each from Dawson Tanner and AJ Figueroa and one goal apiece from Landon Krist and Sebastian Vargas Aleem.
The Bulldogs prevailed 5-1 at Eastern Alamance on Monday with Tanner and Figueroa each scoring two goals and Aleem providing the other.
- Maung, Martinez and Rodrigo Arellano had goals in Southeast’s 3-2 home victory against Graham on Monday.
- Graham topped visiting Southern 4-0 last week. Also, Cummings fell 5-4 to visiting Northwood.
- Southern won its first game in 13 outings this year by defeating visiting Roxboro Person 3-0 on Monday courtesy of goals from Brody Clark, Ty Braddy and Karsten Robb.
- Clover Garden won back-to-back Central Tar Heel 1-A Conference games, beating host Chatham Charter 5-2 last week and topping visiting River Mill 3-1 on Monday. Lou Roncari had winless River Mill’s goal.
- The Burlington School fell 8-0 to visiting Gate City on Tuesday. On the same day, Burlington Christian Academy lost 8-1 at Westchester Christian Academy.
