A 39-year-old white woman has been arrested for financial card fraud after she allegedly ran up several charges on an area resident’s misappropriated credit card.
Dottie Sumner Mann ultimately turned herself in on Friday after she was identified as the culprit in the illicit transactions, which were originally reported to the office of Alamance County’s sheriff on July 24.

According to the sheriff’s office, the victim of these crimes named Mann as the perpetrator based on security photos and videos that the agency’s investigators had obtained. Mann has consequently been charged with financial card theft and financial card fraud as well as six counts of obtaining property by false pretense. Her bond has been set at $2,500.
