A 21-year-old woman from Burlington has been arrested for first degree murder after she allegedly shot her boyfriend in a parking lot along Eric Lane.
Raquel Monay Strudwick was taken into custody shortly after the fatal shooting of 23-year-old Donald Damarri Long, which was called in to Burlington’s police department at 8:54 a.m. on Thursday, March 6.

According to the city’s police department, Strudwick was still at the scene when police officers reached the 2300 block of Eric Lane in response to the call.
Officers ascertained that the 21-year-old black female, who hails from 1861 Stratford Road, had been “in a domestic relationship” with Long before she shot him to death. They went on to arrest Struckwick for first degree murder and remanded her to Alamance County’s jail, where she remains without bond.
